Florida campus expands water reclamation to chilled-water operations
January 28, 2021The University of Central Florida’s District Energy Plant IV opened in 2018. In 2020, it was converted to use reclaimed water in its two cooling towers, reducing campus potable water consumption by 25-30 million gal/year and playing a key role in UCF’s water conservation plans.
